THIS HAT IS LONG. I LIKE LONG HATS, I HAVE A LOT OF HAIR TO PUT IN THERE. FOR GOSH SAKE’S START AT LEAST 1/3 WAY INTO THE PATTERN IF YOU DON’T HAVE TONS OF HAIR!!!!!

This hat IS big, which is what I wanted. I have a ton of hair and I like to have enough room to shove it up into my hats. Plus I want to have my ears covered

If you want a smaller (shorter) hat by all means start halfway through the first pattern repeat or even further up. If you want a smaller hat go down a needle size and consider using a lighter weight yarn.

Please remember that this hat was intended to be roomy, feel free to make adjustments to aim for a smaller size.
