An ancient Greek goddess of the sea, Eurybia controlled the winds that whipped the waves. Those waves are highlighted in this lightly beaded shawlette that features a lacy pattern resembling traditional Greek scroll motifs. Knit from side to side, Eurybia’s shape is achieved by simple increases and decreases, without the need for long cast-ons or bind-offs!

This pattern was designed for great folks at The Tinsmith’s Wife in Comfort, TX to celebrate their 2nd anniversary. It is available as part of a kit by ordering directly from them or a pdf here on Ravelry.

Additional Pattern Notes
Each time Row 3 is worked for the first time on the Main Right Wing Section there will only be 2 sts before the marker; knit these two. An updated version of the pattern was released Apr 2, 2013 to clarify this issue.

I intended this design to be blocked with the blank sections running along the neck line and the beaded edge along the bottom (you can see it blocking on my project page). This is why I refer to the unbeaded edge as the neckline. That said, the design can also be blocked upside down, making for a more traditional triangle point at the bottom.
