Autumn is New England’s finest hour. The season brings crisp mornings, apple pie, pumpkin spice everything, and the beautiful color of the leaves. That was the inspiration for the Falling Leaves Cowl.

The project is worked flat and joined at the end. Three different finishing techniques are given. Included are both chart and written instructions.

The sample is knit in Madelinetosh Pashmina worsted weight. The pattern can be knit in any worsted weight yarn, or a DK if you prefer a lighter garment for warmer climates. This project would be beautiful in handspun yarn as well. Just choose something that speaks to you for a bit of autumnal coziness.

This simple pattern can be knit in three lengths: small (20”) to add just a bit of warmth and fall fashion, medium (30”) to wrap once or hang mid-chest, or large (50”) to wrap twice or hang to the waist as an infinity scarf.

Materials:
1 small (2- medium, 3- large) skeins worsted weight yarn (200 yds each)
U.S. size 7 (4.5 mm) needles, (straight or 24” circular)
Stitch markers, tapestry needle (optional)
