A lacy crocheted hexagon for shawls, throws, pillow overlays, curtains, or afghans. This pattern uses US terminology and includes detailed stitch instructions, close-up photos, and a stitch conversion chart for UK/AU/NZ crocheters.

As of 04/01/2018, two patterns have now been combined into one pattern. The Drifting Star and the Falling Star snowflake hexagons are together in the same document for a single price.

Drifting Star: Approximately 1.3 oz (68 yds, 37 g) worsted weight or 10-ply yarn (#4) for each hexagon. H8 (5.0 mm) hook. First 3 rnds measure 3 inches (7.62 cm) in diameter and finished size is 12 inches (30 cm) from point to point, when blocked.

Falling Star: - Approximately 1.6 oz (83 yds, 45 g) worsted weight or 10-ply yarn (#4) for each hexagon. K 10.5 (6.5 mm) hook. First 3 rnds measure 4 inches in diameter and finished size is 15 inches (38 cm) from point to point, when blocked.

Other tools: yarn needle, scissors, and stitch marker (optional).

Gauge: 3 rounds equals 3 inches (7.62 cm) in diameter
