Felted slipper boots are pretty much the most comfortable thing to wear ever, and they are definitely nice to have as the evenings get cooler. These slippers are pretty sturdy. You could even attach a sole to them if you were keen to wear them outside. They work up incredibly quickly and they’re felted to fit, so careful knitting and gauge isn’t as important here as it is for some projects.

YARN:Approximately 478 yards of bulky yarn. Used here, I skein of Cascade Eco + in Olive Heather (9448).

NEEDLES: 8 mm 24” circular needle, and 8 mm double-pointed needles (or size needed to obtain gauge).

GAUGE: Approximately 12 sts x 16 rows in 4”.

MEASUREMENTS/SIZING: Adult S/M/L/XL (then felted to fit).

The sizes are for adults, and to be more precise, these would be the approximate measurements for foot length to help you choose which size to make:

S = 6-7”
M = 8-9”
L = 10-11”
XL = 11-12”

Remember to keep trying them on during the felting process to prevent them from felting too small :)

OTHER MATERIALS USED: None required.

This pattern is also available in the Stave Series collection, which includes the ‘Take Flight’, ‘Helm of Awe’, ‘Socks for Protection’, ‘Cape of Invisibility’, and ‘Socks for Protection’.
