This top is worked in two pieces, a front and back. It is worked on larger needles to create an open fabric and is designed to be reversible if you want to expose seams. Knit in two identical 18 x 27 in. rectangles, it is easy to modify size. Exact gauge is not essential.

Instructions call for a 15.75 mm crochet hook that is actually larger than the size shown above, but smaller than the next Ravelry hook size option. Since gauge is NOT essential, the size difference should not be a problem. The hook is used to join yarn at one end of cast on edges in order to work a single crochet border. Split ring stitch markers are also used.
