The pattern includes detailed instructions for Mittens, Long and Short Mitts and Hat:
Each item uses less than 1 skein worsted weight,
(100g, 219 -250yds/ 4oz. ea) Yarns Shown:
Shepherds Wool and Swans Island Worsted
Finished Dimensions:
Mittens - palm, 6”, flat and unstretched, 8+” stretched and worn. Cuff, hand and thumb lengths are all easily customizable.
Mitts - palm, 6”, flat and unstretched, 8+” stretched and worn. Cuff, hand and thumb lengths are all easily customizable.
Long mitts are 7”, flat and unstretched at the forearm, and stretch to 10+” 11” long as written.
Hat - 9” long, 18” flat and unstretched, up to 24+” stretched and worn. Length is easily customizable.
Shown: Long mitt, mittens, and hat. To get the fit you want, take time to check your gauge.
Mittens.
Gauge: 22 st and 32 rounds = 4”/10cm in stockinette stitch
24 stitches and 30 rounds = 4”/10cm in rib pattern, slightly stretched
US 5 (3.75mm) DPN or 32+” circulars for Magic Loop was used for sample.
Both Mitts.
Gauge: 20 stitches and 28 rounds = 4”/10cm in stockinette
22 stitches and 28 rounds = 4”/10cm in rib pattern, slightly stretched.
US6 (4mm) DPN’s 32+”circular for Magic Loop was used for sample.
Hat.
Gauge: 19 stitches and 28 rounds = 4”/10cm in stockinette
20 stitches and 28 rounds = 4”/10cm in rib pattern, slightly stretched
US7 (4.5mm) DPN’s 32+”circular for Magic Loop was used for sample.
4 markers, 1 unique to mark the beginning of the round.
