You can easily modify this pattern to make the wristies larger, longer, etc. To make larger, cast on more stitches. To make longer, knit in stockinette for more rows.

Another nice variation on this pattern is to knit in seed stitch rather than garter stitch for the cuffs. Just be sure to cast on an odd number of stitches! :)
