Flourette
A floret is a small flower, or one of the small flowers in a cluster. I much prefer the old English spelling, “flourette,” which is a diminutive of the word flur, meaning flower.
Mitts are worked in the round. They start with a delicately waving edge that moves into a field of flower clusters. Both hand and thumb end with an i-cord bind off.
Coordinates with Cluster cowl.
Yarn: 125 (150, 190) yards fingering weight yarn.
Skills: knit, slip, YO, s2-k1-p2sso, 3-stitch cluster stitch, make 1 or knit in front and back of the stitch, cable cast on, i-cord bind off, knitting in the round.
Other supplies: 2 stitch markers required (more markers are optional), smooth thin waste yarn in contrasting color, yarn needle.
Stitch patterns: Charted and written.
