This shawl, as pictured, was knit in 4 panels, for a long shawl with a narrow profile - you will see above that 4 panels does not produce a complete semi-circle – the shawl’s overall profile is narrower than a semi-circle – rather, it is very wide triangle. For a full semi circle shawl, with a wider top and bottom, we offer instructions for a five-panel alternative that requires 25% more yarn (9 balls, rather than 7).
