Fluted Fingerless Mitts
by Alice Nissim
Sculptural, but warm, these fingerless mitts are meant to be a favourite sweater for your hands. They are knit in the round on double pointed needles and include a fitted thumb gusset. They utilize an original stitch that produces a twisted, fluted, cushiony rib with great compression. This pattern provides complete instructions for a ladies’ medium, which will in reality fit a comparatively wide range of sizes (from teenager to not-too-burly gentleman—I think the style would be very suitable for men’s mitts).
