The Fox in the Forest mittens are perfect for the person who loves to go for long walks in the woods! The stranded colourwork makes them nice and warm as well.

They have a lot of fun details, and if you don’t want to carry more than two colours at a time, you can use dulplicate stitching, instruction video included.

Finished and blocked mittens measure approx:
Length: 25 cm/9.8”
Circumference: 19 cm/7.5”

Size can be adjusted by using smaller or larger sized needles or by adding or removing some rows.

The pattern specifies the yarns I have used, but any
yarn of the same weight (100gr = 425 meters/465 yards or 50 g = 210 meters/230 yards) will work fine.

Approximate weight needed (if sticking to gauge):

MC: 40g
CC: 10g/CC

Pattern is written for magic loop, but double pointed needles work as well if you prefer that, just make sure to make necessary adjustments.

Pattern is available in English.

Techniques used: Stranded Colourwork, Kitchener Stitch, duplicate stitching (optional).

The pattern has links to my accompanying videos on Youtube which explain some of the technical aspects of the work (in English with English or Swedish subtitles): How to work with magic loop, how to sew the kitchener stitch, how to make duplicate stitches.
