I knitted these for my daughter in the round using magic loop method with Moda Vera Fayette self striping yarn called Frenzy, though looks more rainbow-like to me. This gorgeous 60% superwash wool 40% Polyamide yarn was half price owing to end of season sale!

The legwarmers are approx 60cm long and comfortably fit between a 33cm - 40cm calf. They can be worn over the knee, as I used the loosest cast off (bind off) method in rib, giving ample stretch. Ribbing works well either as single or double rib.

Ribbing for the lower and upper cuff edges was done on 4.00mm round needles, whilst for main stocking stitch body of garment I used 4.5mm. You can decide how many rows of rib you wish to use, also the length of legwarmers. The ones I designed and as you see pictured, are approx 60 cms long including rib.
