Fresh Squeezed Shawl
The Fresh Squeezed Shawl is a traditional lace triangular shawl worked from the top down, and finished in a ruffle border that is edged in seed beads. The lace body of the shawl is a highly textured Japanese Ribbon Lace, and, because it involves following a chart and/or written directions closely, I would suggest that it is appropriate for a knitter who is at least intermediate in skill level. I chose to work this shawl in Malabrigo’s Silky Merino DK weight yarn in shade #404 Camote. Each skein has 150 yards and I used all of the yarn except for a very tiny amount. The finished shawl works out to be 6 feet end to end and is 36 inches at its center, deepest point. The seed beading on the cast off picot edge is optional. Full written instructions with row counts, charts, and suggested video tutorials are included in the pattern.
