“I love how the addition of buttons and buttonholes can make a simple scarf more versatile. The length of this scarf was designed to allow for two comfortable wraps around the neck when buttoned, creating a cowl-like fit. The lush cable pattern, with its staggered medallions and shifting scale, keeps the knitting interesting.
If you prefer a more classic scarf with no buttons, simply omit the instructions for buttonholes in the ribbed hem. Knitter’s choice!” – Jared Flood
