This is a light weight but warm cardigan, knitted in 4ply yarn, perfect for cooler days. Knitted top-down, it has a raglan yoke, full-length sleeves, and a pretty frill at the waist. Stitches are picked up afterwards to create the neckband.

Sizing: Approx age 0-3mo(6-9mo,12-18mo,18-24mo, 3-4yrs, 4-5yrs), to fit chest 17(18,20,22,23.5,25)“/43(46,51,56,60,64)cm
Actual chest size of garment: 18(20,22,24,25.5,27)”/46(51,56,61,64,69)cm

Tension: 4”/10cm = 26 sts and 35 rows over stocking stitch on 3.25mm needles

Yarn requirements: Approximately 320(380,480,590,700,810)m or 350(415,525,645,765,885)yards of fingering weight (4ply) yarn.

For the 0-3 month pink cardigan I used Lang Baby Cotton (100% cotton, 180m/100g) to create a lightweight and cool summer cardigan.
For the 6-9 month peach cardigan I used Phileas Yarns Passenger in the colourway ‘Medina’ (80/20 British BFL/Bamboo sock yarn, 400m/100g).
For the 18-24 month grey-blue cardigan I used The Wool Barn Smooth sock 4ply in the colourway ‘Ahoy’ (75/25 superwash-merino/nylon, 425m/100g).
For the 3-4years pink cardigan I used WYS Signature 4ply in the ‘Sarsaparilla’ colourway (75/25 wool/nylon, 400m/100g).

Needles and notions: 3.25 mm circular needle of 80-100cm length (or size to give correct tension) - this cardigan could be knitted on straight needles if preferred, but for ease of accommodating stitches I prefer to work with a circular needle.
Set of 3.25mm double pointed needles (or size to give correct tension)
2 stitch holders
6 stitch markers
5(6,7,7,8,9) buttons
