Inspired by the lovely, textural ice patterns found on a winter pond and knit in a bulky weight yarn, Frostbitten will keep you cozy and in style this winter, whether you’re chasing vampires or simply chasing away the cold!

The pattern has been professionally tech edited and test knit to reduce the potential for error.

CONSTRUCTION

The Frostbitten Beret is knit in the round from the bottom up.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Knit and purl stitches

  • Increase and decrease stitches - yo, k2tog, ssk, sl 1 k2tog psso

  • Twisted stitches - K tbl

INSTRUCTIONS

The pattern is charted, but also includes complete written directions so the ability to read a chart is not necessary to work this pattern.

Blocking is especially essential for a successful finished project with this pattern. The lace will really open up when blocked and the finished circumference/dimensions will be significantly larger than before blocking.

YARN NOTES

A bulky weight yarn with good stitch definition and little to no halo is recommended. Slight tonals will work, but variegated yarn will distract from the lace pattern.

ADDITIONAL NOTIONS

You will also need:
Tapestry/blunt yarn needle
Stitch marker
