Any DK weight yarn can be used but the King Cole Galaxy is really soft and light and the sequins in it add an extra dimension. You need to use needles larger than the size recommended for the yarn to get the best results.

I wanted to create a scarf that is the same on both sides so it is mainly garter stitch with eyelet rows in between.

This is a good project to practice techniques used in simple lace patterns.
