Errata- If you see a K1tog, please K2tog! Very sorry You get a lot of bang for your buck with this pattern! Written for 7 gauges, ranging from 6 sts/in to 3 sts/in- just select your yarn and start knitting! (Easy to read table format, with chart for pattern stitch)
Knit in the round from the brim up.
Fairisle (stranded knitting).
Great for handpainted or striping yarns!
Easy textural pattern defies yarns with a tendency to pool or flash!
Great for odds and ends- change yarns as you please for a crazy, unique hat!
Display your favorite team colors! See Hat A for example using solid color yarns.
Size: Adult average
You will need:
A set of dbl pts and a 16” circular needle, size to meet your selected gauge.
A total of approx. 3 – 4 oz yarn, in at least two different colors.
Hat A:
King Cole Merino Blend Four DK, (100% Pure New Wool, superwash; 50 gr/123 yds), one skein each in colors Copper 109 and Bottle 33- used all of both skeins. This is a fabulous yarn, sturdy and soft, with tons of great colors. Great for team colors!
Hat B:
Bernat Berella “4”, (100% Acrylic; 3 oz/165 yds)
One skein each in colors Luxury Ombre 02803 and Rustic Rodeo Ombre 02821- used nearly all of both skeins.
Hat C:
Knit with FatCatKnits Handpainted Yarns, one skein Christie (100% wool; 1000 yds/lb) and the other skein Sierra (60% merino/40% silk; 1000 yds/lb)
All skeins are one of a kind colorways. Hat used approx 2 oz (125 yds) of each skein.
Hat D:
Knit with handspun yarn, from FatCatKnits Handpainted Combed Tops. It used approx 2 oz each of two colorways of handspun superwash Bluefaced Leicester combed top, spun as sport weight soft singles.
