These hats were inspired by Hansel and Gretel and the witch’s gingerbread cottage. I wanted to make semi-matching hats for my twin niece and nephew.

This pattern, as written, is sized for toddlers. There are plenty of options for sizing up or down by changing the weight of the yarn and/or adding or subtracting pattern repeats.

There are two options for ribbing, two different color work patterns, and two different top options. Mix and match to your preference.

Toddler size required less than one (50 gm/123 yard skein) of MC, and much less than half a skein of CC.
