Grandma Connie's Slippers
This vintage pattern is for cuffed slippers knit flat and seamed up the sole and heel. Though sizing directions are vague, they are simple enough to size up or down by adding/subtracting stitches.
My grandparents were recently forced to evacuate their home in Alpine, AZ due to the Wallow Fire, the largest fire in Arizona history which scorched over 850 square miles. Among the belongings my grandmother chose to save were some hand-written knitting patterns from my great-grandmother. My grandmother passed them down to me, and I “digitized” them for safe keeping. Though they aren’t the most original patterns out there, I thought I would put them up to share. The scanned index cards are my great-grandmother Connie’s own handwriting, some of the few examples we have.
