This was originally published in a collection of “Rib Ticklers” a few decades ago. We’re sure it’s because you can’t help but feel like giggling when you see this colorful way to wear a crochet granny square. (Red Heart)
Skill level: easy
This tight-fitting vest is built around a traditional granny square. Pattern from the 1970s is for men or women. Vest is meant to be worn tight with negative ease.
Directions are for size Small; changes for sizes Medium and Large are made by using larger crochet hooks.
GAUGE: 13 dc = 4” (10 cm); 8 rows = 4” (10 cm) using 4mm US G-6 hook for Small,
12 dc = 4” (10 cm); 7 rows = 4” (10 cm) using 5mm US H-8 hook for Medium
11 dc = 4” (10 cm); 7 rows = 4” (10 cm) using 5.5mm US I-9 hook for Large.
Block finished motif to measure 11.75” square (size Small), 12.75” (medium), or 13.75 (large)
