Color and motion are combined in this brilliantly graphic afghan straight from the painter’s palette. You’ll love watching it grow under your fingers as you “paint” with the many colors of yarn.
MATERIALS
Patons Canadiana (100 g/3.5 oz) or
Patons Decor (100 g/3.5 oz)
AFGHAN
Contrast A (Med Grey) 2 balls
Contrast B (Dk Grey) 2 balls
Contrast C (Green) 3 balls
Contrast D (Dk Purple) 3 balls
Contrast E (Yellow) 2 balls
Contrast F (Blue) 2 balls
Contrast G (Dk Aqua) 2 balls
Contrast H (Orange) 2 balls
Contrast I (Red) 1 ball
9 colors, 19 balls total
Size 5 mm (U.S. 8) knitting needles or size needed to obtain tension.
Strip A: Make 3
Strip B: Make 3
Sew strips together as alternating Strip A and Strip B to finish.
Note: When working with more than one color within a row, use separate balls for each area of color. To change colors, twist the two colors around each other where they meet, on WS, to avoid a hole.
