While I would love to wax poetic about a wonderful place called Poäng, the name comes from the IKEA chair I sit upon while I craft. However, when you think about it, it actually is a wonderful place to sit and do what I enjoy doing most … knitting!

This triangular shawl is a modular knit, which means you can knit as many pattern repeats as you like, until you are happy with the length.

As with most lace, gauge is based upon personal preference. The larger your needle size, the lacier the fabric will be.

The smaller your needle size, the denser the fabric. If you’re unsure, using the yarn you have in mind, swatch using different needle sizes until you are happy with your tension.

• Charts show both RS (odd rows) and WS (even rows).
• RS rows are knit right to left.
• WS rows are knit left to right.
• All WS rows are purled, except 3 knit edge stitches at beginning and end of row.
• You may want to use stitch markers to mark knitted edge stitches and center stitch, slipping them as you go.
