This is the fifth pattern from Craft Work Knit, my self-published collection of 10 new patterns.

This is the first in a series of knits featuring men in mohair, inspired by the mohair sweaters worn by punks in the 1970s. The man’s sample shown uses mohair for the contrast yarn. Use mohair, another yarn with a distinct texture, or another color of your main color yarn for contrast.

The sleeves and body of the sweater are knit in the round from the bottom up and are joined at the yoke, which is worked in a modified version of Elizabeth Zimmermann’s “seamless hybrid” technique.

Special thanks to Fleece Artist for the yarn, and to Zoe Black (Zoe here on Ravelry) for knitting the sample!
