Included are instructions for making a baby blanket with the Gryffindor lion in the center. I have also included additional charts that I created in the process of creating this final version.

The blanket measures approximately 36” square without the border, and 38” square with the border. It uses half double crochet and some single crochet for the border.

The yarn in the pattern is acrylic (I couldn’t find good colors from baby yarn), so it may not be soft enough. I’ve read that washing the project a few times (possibly using conditioner) will help soften it up, but I have not tried this.

Materials needed:
Size I (5.5 mm) Crochet hook
Yarn needle for weaving in ends and joining
Yarn used - Loops & Threads Impeccable Solids
o 1532 Claret - about 1100 yards (a little more than 4 skeins)
o 1613 Gold - about 250 yards (almost one skein)
