A Ravelry user asked if I could provide a chart for the gansey I knit - I figured the easiest thing to do was just to make a free PDF download of it. The motifs are all traditional, and I knit the sweater from looking at photos of vintage ones and from perusing Beth Reinsel-Brown’s book Knitting Ganseys. If you feel like adapting/unventing, go for it. You can adapt it to any drop-shoulder sweater, or use Reinsel-Brown’s book for instructions on how to knit a traditional gansey like this one, with underarm gussets and a split hem.
