High Sierra Scarf
by Laura Cunitz
High Sierra is a lacy infinity scarf perfect for the transition into winter. It has several knitting features you will enjoy:
- Woven Cast On: Pretty and practical cast on that’s great for curved edges.
- Showy Decrease: This central double decrease is a simple modification that results in cleaner more modern lines.
- Resilient Bind Off: This new bind off gives you a small picot-like edge that also has more give.
Sizes:
- Cowl: 42” around base, 24” at top and 15” deep
- Scarf: 72” around base, 60” at top and 8” deep
Gauge:
Sample shown in 22 to 24 sts per 4” but other gauges will work.
Yarn:
- Cascade Venezia Sport knit to label gauge.
- Knit Picks Swish DK was knit with a larger needle (US7) for a looser gauge with more drape.
Yardage
Approx. 300 yards for cowl and 500 yards for infinity scarf.
