“When I discovered this cable stitch − big cable twists framing a broad eyelet panel − I was in love. The cable shape reminded me of big chain links. Since the stitch pattern is so rich in texture, I knew I wanted to use it in an otherwise simple garment. This pullover relies on a softly knit fabric and a slightly oversized fit, while using Loft on relatively large needles creates an airy fabric to contrast denser cable twists. The dolman shape is created by knitting both front and back from the hem up, and then joining them at the top of the sleeve with a three needle bind off. The extra seam created by this method adds some structure to the drapey sleeves to keep the shape from sagging. A deep band of garter stitch trim completes the wide neckline.” − Mercedes Tarasovich-Clark

CONSTRUCTION
Dolman-sleeved sweater is worked in two pieces (Front and Back) from the bottom up. Stitches are cast on for the Sleeves at the underarm. After working to the full garment depth, Sleeve stitches are placed on hold while the neck shaping is worked, and the Sleeve seams are later joined together using the Joinery Bind Off. Stitches are picked up and worked in the round for the neckband.
