When you wear these mittens, you might embody some of the spirit of the badger. The world is yours to dominate, and if those around you are lucky, you will leave a bit of scraps behind for them.

At the very least, you can still look down at your hands and have a laugh!

I developed this pattern using traditional Nordic and Scandinavian knitting techniques, then added my own twist.

These are a size women’s medium or a men’s small. There is plenty of room within the mittens to also wear gloves, for those of you who need to double up for adequate warmth.

For larger or smaller mittens, I recommend going up or down in needle size first before subbing out a heavier or lighter yarn weight.
