House Targaryen Socks
A Game of Thrones is the first book in A Song of Ice and Fire, a series of novels by author George R. R. Martin.
The story of A Song of Ice and Fire takes place mainly on the continent of Westeros. Although now in exile, House Targaryen is one of the Great Houses of Westeros. It’s sigil is a 3-headed dragon.
This stitch pattern reminds me of dragon scales.
I have not included specific instructions for heels or toes. Please use your favorite technique for knitting those portions of your socks.
Also, I have only included directions for one size (medium). To make this pattern larger or smaller I suggest experimenting with a larger or smaller needle size. Pattern is also adjustable using increments of 8. Keep in mind that the finished sock is somewhat flexible as it is ribbed.
I suggest using either a light sport weight or a heavy fingering weight yarn.
