This is an unusual pattern in that the cabled x’s and o’s (hugs and kisses) run only up the wrist to thumb area. This is a fun project to knit from soft Fresco from Classic Elite. It is available in great colors - intense and rich. I also have a sock pattern that matches this design called Hugs and Kisses Socks.

This is not for the true beginner knitter. You will need to know how to knit in the round and it is helpful to know how to cable, though as cable patterns go, this one is not too difficult. I am available for knitting help via e-mail. We used this pattern as a workshop in my shop and it went well!
