This pattern came about because I was asked to teach a couple of my husband’s friends to knit socks over a weekend. I wanted to be sure that we would be able to get through the whole process, so I decided that thick socks that could be worked on 4 mm needles were the way to go, as this would make them a fairly quick knit. The resulting socks are super useful both for wearing around the house instead of slippers and as an extra layer of cosiness in your wellies.
