This ice cream cozy is perfect for keeping your warm hands off of that freezing cold container of ice cream! It fits pint sized containers and the 2x2 rib pattern gives it a nice, snug fit. The combination of knitting, purling, and knitting 2 stitches together makes it a great pattern for all levels of knitters.

For this project, you will need a set of four US8/5mm double pointed needles (DPN’s), a stitch marker, a tape measure or ruler, and a tapestry needle.

The yarn used for this project is an Aran 10 ply yarn, like the Red Heart and TLC yarns that can be found in any craft store. You will need about 50 grams of yarn for this cozy, so you can even use a partial skein left over from a previous project.
