This lace triangular shawl is knitted from the top down and the pattern is mirrored over a center stitch. Named “Illumination,” the textures and openwork in this pattern mimic the flickering of candlelight.

60 inch wingspan and 30 inches long at center points, after blocking. Size can be customized by knitting more or fewer of chart B.
Materials Needed:
The pictured shawl is knitted using the following materials, but since gauge is not important, needle size or yarn size can be adjusted to fit your aesthetic desires.
Approximately 600 yds of DK Weight Yarn
US size 9 (5.5 mm) circular needles
Tapestry needle (for weaving in ends)
Blocking pins and blocking wires
