Illusion Knit Chicago Baby Blanket
This pattern is available as a
free Ravelry download
Pattern created to mark the arrival of a great friend’s baby. The Chicago skyline is quite beautiful, and I always liked the idea of an illusion-knit baby blanket: if I were a baby, I’d find it pretty cool that everyone else thinks I just have a striped blanket, but I would know I’ve got the whole city in my cute chubby baby-hands.
This required 4 skeins (408 yards) of the background color (green in the original blanket) and I just barely broke into the third skein of the forground color (I needed less than 50 stitches of the 3rd white skein…so close!)
If you knit this and find any errors, please message me (mmagoo6). Thanks!
