For those of us with loved ones who are transgender or who are transgender ourselves, this is a variation on the pussy hat featuring the transgender flag. Seeing one of these in a crowd here and there may make the difference between a transgender woman questioning her welcome at a women’s rally, or feeling the unity of identity and sense of inclusion we all want each other to feel at these events.

I used Caron simply soft satins for my yarn, and a size 5 hook.

Stitches needed:
CH - Chain
DC – Double crochet
BLDC – Back-loop double crochet

Notes: Ch 3 counts as a DC in this pattern. All rows should have 40 stitches across.
