Inverness Gloves
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
These surprisingly quick Outlander-inspired gloves feature:
- a bars and chevrons gansey pattern from Inverness,
- a “lifeline” increase for the thumb, instead of the standard gusset,
- a gently flared cuff, as homage to the “Gunnister Gloves”, an early example of knitted gloves dug up from a Scottish bog,
- a densely knitted gauge with dk-weight wool, to create a glove warm enough to cope with wind, wet, and cold, and
- a luxurious wool/silk blend.
The S/M takes 2 balls; the L takes 3 balls.
