I was inspired to knit this scarf by colours of the yarn; the green reminded me of Ireland, one of my favourite places to travel, and the yellow and blue beautifully contrasted the richness of the green. The name “Irish Gathering” comes from this Irish connection and from the gathers formed through simple increases and decreases between the blocks of colour.
Beads were added to our sample to add another dimension to our garment. As with many of our patterns, beads are optional.
This is a simple, relaxing knit which produces a bold finished garment perfectly suited for cool summer nights and crisp autumn days.
