Ivy - a scarf inspired by Art Nouveau
When I think of Art Nouveau I think of Muchas ornamental paintings first, followed by dance and flowing, organic forms inspired by nature. Especially peacocks, flowers and dragonflies are my favourites.
I designed this scarf rather as an accessory than a scarf to warm your neck. With opulent balls, stained glass windows and beautiful Art Nouveau curves in mind I tried to capture some of the beauty of that period. I recommend using a sockyarn with sheen or sparkle! In lovely jewel or peacock colours or soft pastels inspired by Muchas paintings.
Angela from All for the Love of Yarn has collaborated with me to dye up some beautiful peacock colours in a bamboo blend that matched my ideas perfectly.
Many, many thanks to my testknitters GuapaM, ingridsera, cmcole, echelon, Pi4 and mystic74! Thank you so much for your patience!
