Hi!
Thanks for your interest. :)

I decided to try and make baby girl monkeys and the adjustments I made to the pattern are the following:

For the bow,
Row 1: chain 20, join with a slipstitch, (make sure it doesn’t twist)
Row 2: Chain 3, dc in the next ch, and in each chain around, (20 dc)
Row 3: Ch 3, Dc in the following dc and in each dc around (20 dc)

(If you’d like a bigger bow, add more chains, and more rows of dc)

Leave a tail about 1/2 yard long, pull the yarn through the loop of the last dc you just made, tightly wind the 1/2 yard of yarn around the bow 5-6 times until you’ve achieved a bow shape. With the remaining tail, attach the bow to the head of the monkey, wrapping it around the center of the bow 15-20 more times.

For the dress:
On the same row where there is color change on the “shirt”, with the color you are using for the shirt, (starting at the back):

Sc 1, ch 1, skip a stitch, All around, join with a ss to the first sc. Ch 1.
5 dc, in every ch 1 space, ss in each sc. All around, join with a slip stitch.
Fasten off.

I used a smaller hook, for tighter stitches since I wanted these little babies to be slightly smaller than the original. I also purposely made the “hands” and “feet” smaller.

Let me know if you need any additional help. The truth is I just winged it for the “girl” monkeys.
