This is a very simple unisex pattern with an alternating rib structure. This is a great, sturdy pattern that does not curl and therefore requires no blocking. The stripes are optional, but can really make the scarf pop.

This pattern is easily adaptable to your needs. If you desire a wider scarf, simply add an even number of stitches to the cast-on. If you would like to add fringes, you can omit the ribbed edges and they would look great. Have fun with it!
