Kaffe Latte
By downloading the pattern here, gives you the pattern in 2 languages, English and Norwegian
THE SHAWL is worked from side to side.
It has a Garter St Area and an edge portion with 2 borders.
I suggest using st markers between the borders.
It is worked in a variation between knit and purl sts.
The increases and decreases through the shawl, gives a very pretty wavy effect.
Finished size after blocking:
Height from bottom point to neck is about 24” ( 59 cm),
width is about 118” (300 cm)
The pattern has row by row instruction to the point where memorizing and continuation should be easy.
It has a chart for the lace portion, and pictures to compare with.
I used about 3 skeins of Tosh Merino Light for this shawl. It is a fingering one-ply yarn from Madelinetosh, beautiful color and very soft.
I think that a nice sock yarn like Heritage from Cascade could be used also. The shawl came out pretty large (wide), so maybe even a finer yarn, like lace yarn, could be used also.
