knit/lab Colorwork Swatches
A group of charts designed for experimenting with colors in back-and-forth knitting, with techniques including stranding, intarsia, lace knitting and beading.
Use of colors is up to you -
you can swatch with a limited range of muted tones, or a riot of clashing shades, or anything in between. Gauge is not critical when swatching, as the focus is more on techniques and color.
My approach to knitting is quite experimental –
I encourage you to have a similar approach, mixing different colors and yarns, and being prepared to rip it out and try again!
Some of the charts can be used to make bigger projects once you’re comfortable with the techniques.
The pdf includes 6 charts with short written instructions, and notes on techniques.
(Please note - this is intended to be an introduction to the techniques used in my more challenging patterns like Sari - it is not an encylopedia of colorwork!)
knit/lab Colorwork Swatches is also available as part of the Five Colorwork Shawls and knit/lab Easy Patterns eBooks.
Please read the Terms and Conditions applicable to knit/lab pattern purchases before purchasing this pattern. The T&C can be viewed here.
