This is a crocheted headband with that knit look. It is a basic headband, but you can add a flower (Irish rose pattern included), a bow, yarn embroidery, or embellish with two large buttons.

This headband worked using post stitches in short rows until the full length of the headband is reached. Shaping of the headband is done with incr/decr of posts. A photo tutorial is provided on how to crochet the special edging.

This pattern is written for worsted weight yarn, but you can adjust the number of stitches for other weights. I used approximately half a skein of Caron Simply Soft yarn (including the Irish rose). I used a J hook, but depending on your crochet style, an I or K hook may be required.
