This is a very quick and easy pattern so you can make lots of easy Easter Chicks with very little effort. It only uses a small amount of wool and most of the shaping is done by the egg inside the chick’s body, so they fly off your needles in no time. Try using different colours and types of double knitting wool to make interesting variations. In the past I have used wool with bobbles in, “eyelash” wool for a shaggy appearance to the chick, just let your imagination run wild. Any small chocolate egg will fit into the body, depending on what your “customers” like best.
I have sold these chicks for many years for various charities and although I am happy for anyone to use the pattern that I designed myself after looking at a chick someone gave me years ago, I would like it to only be used either for you to make money for your charity, or to give to friends and family at Easter.
