The kokeshi doll is worked in one piece from the head down to the base, and joined with a seam at the centre back. There is a circle of plastic inside the base of the doll, which allows her to stand beautifully.

Her hairpiece is worked separately and attached later.

The felt flowers are secured with embroidery and a bead.
