I like to wear kerchiefs, but their main drawback, to me, is that they often come loose and I spend the whole day retightening. I decided to invent a way around this. If this is a problem that has plagued you, too, you’ll enjoy the integrated headband this pattern offers.

This pattern is worked in the round for the headband, and flat (back and forth) for the lace. I recommend using circular needles to avoid having to switch needles halfways through, but if you’d prefer, you’re more than welcome to knit this with double pointed needles and/or switch to straight needles.
