Row 1 (RS): K4, yo, k to m, M1R, sm, k1, sm, M1L, k to last 4 sts, yo, k4.

Row 2 (WS): K4, yo, (p1, k1) to 1 st before m, p1, sm, p1, sm, p1, (k1, p1) to last 4 sts, yo, k4.

Row 3 (RS): K4, yo, k to last 4 sts, yo, k4.

Row 4 (WS): same as Row 2

Row 5 (RS): same as Row 1

Row 6 (WS): K4, yo, (p1, k1) to m, sm, p1, sm, (k1, p1) to last 4 sts, yo, k4.

Row 7 (RS): same as Row 3.

Row 8 (WS): same as row 6.

Repeat last 8 rows until 231 sts are on the needle, ending with Row 8 (WS).
