7/23/2014: There is an updated version of Landmark, correcting some errors. If you’ve already purchased the pattern, you’ll have received an email containing a link to download v1.1. All patterns purchased beginning today include the corrections.

Landmark is a top-down crescent-shaped shawl. It’s a suitable project for almost any knitter, since the stitches are simple, and the shaping techniques are not too challenging. Pattern notes are included, with links to video tutorials for additional help. The instructions are written, but charts are included for several of the sections.

Skill Level: Intermediate (shaping techniques)

Finished Measurements: approximately 72”/183cm along the top crescent edge and about 19”/48cm deep at the center back.

Gauge: In seed stitch and with US7/4.5mm needles, after blocking: 18 stitches = 4 in/10 cm

Yarn: About 540 yards Clara Yarn CVM-Romedale 1.0, (Shown in Sand). Each DK weight skein is approximately 300 yards and 4 ounces/114 grams. Another yarn similar in weight may be substituted, but please knit a swatch to find your ideal needle and gauge.

Needles: Circular needles, US7/4.5mm, or size to obtain gauge, and long enough to accommodate a large number of stitches.

Notions: Several stitch markers, tapestry needle to weave in ends.
